Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Cairo

Welcome to Egypt! Upon our arrival at Cairo International Airport your Aqua Tours manager will welcome and help with the passing out of local currency as well as any luggage and customs formalities.  You will then be driven in a conditioned car to your hotel for a comfortable night. Get ready to explore the Egypt in style during the festive season.

Day 2: Explore the Giza Pyramids & Egyptian Museum

The next morning, after a delicious breakfast at your hotel or at the airport, Aqua tours special Egyptologist Tour guide will come and take you on a full day trip of the most important sites in Cairo. Start your tour at the Giza plateau home to the iconic pyramids the pyramid of Khufu, pyramid of Khafre and pyramid of Mankaur. Take a picture with the world’s most famous necropolis, the Great Sphinx of Giza, – and walk through the doors of the temple in the shadow of which mysteries of mummification were unveiled, then take your lunch at a typical Egyptian restaurant before you proceed to the Egyptian Museum. can spend time to go visit the Egyptian Museum because the museum contains relics of the Pharaonic period. The museum includes a rare exposition dedicated to 5000 years of art, and Indeed it is the largest & most valuable collection of Egyptian art in the world. More than a quarter of a million original items are displayed and this is one of the many and Tutankhamen collections of treasure, gold and jewelry were sealed for over 3, 500 years until in the 1920s when his tomb was opened. Your guide will certainly tell you a lot of interesting things about these relics as you move through the museum corridors ,Then end your day tour with a visit to Khan El Khalili Bazaars. Shops in this district are legendary for fine brassware, copper, perfumes, leather, silver, gold, antiques etc. 

 

Overnight will be spent on a sleeper train with private cabins and full amenities to Aswan. Your guide and driver will drop you in the station in the evening.

Day 3: Arrive in Aswan – Start Your Nile Cruise

When you arrive in Aswan, a representative from the Nile cruise ship waiting for you to take aboard this special cruise ship, you’ll be welcomed with a refreshing drink. Spend the afternoon after lunch, for an excursion in the most popular landmarks of Aswan. See the Aswan High Dam which is an attractive holiday destination and which has harnessed the great Nile River. Then you will be driven to the stunning site of Philae temple which is temple of Isis then moved to this island because of flooding.

Carry on with the Unfinished Obelisk in the granite quarries whose sight gives one a picture of what could have been the major obelisk to stand there. Afternoon is free (optional) ride on the traditional Egyptian felucca with a possibility to see the Botancial Gardens from the water and have a unique view at the city. Back to the ship and spend the rest of the evening having dinner on board while we stay over in Aswan at night.

Day 4: Kom Ombo Temple & Cruise to Edfu

the next day after break fast while enjoying the tranquillity of the river and watch as your vessel sets of downstream. The first visit is to the outstanding temple of Kom Ombo that is located on the edge of the Nile and for the two gods Sobek, the crocodile and Horus, the falcon. This is a typical double temple that has a quite mirror-reflective structure, and there is also the opportunity to observe the crocodiles, which were allied here, were mummified.

Having reached the town of Kom Ombo go back to the cruise and lunch as you cruise to the next destination which is Edfu. Wine and dine on board with feet flexibility in the calming environments of the Nile valley. Evening meal will be provided onboard then you will overnight in Edfu.

Day 5: Edfu Temple & Luxor West Bank

Overnight, cruise to Edfu, in the morning the option is to disembark to visit the majestic Temple of Horus. In this remarkably well preserved temple, visitors can admire high columns, complex stuccoed and ornate mythological legends.

After your visit continue sailing to Luxor. After arrival – you will have West Bank of Luxor tour from which some of the important and must visit spots include the Valley of the kings that was the burial places of Egypt’s strong kings in secret tombs for thousands of years. It can make you go inside some of the internal burials, this I understand, there are paintings on the walls of some of the burial compartments. Then, visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, that lion-like funerary temple carved into the rock of Deir el- Bahari. Before setting off to your West Bank tour via horse carriage, you have a last visit to Colossi of Memnon to photograph them before proceeding to the ship for dinner and spending the night in Luxor.

Day 6: Luxor Tours

After breakfast it is time to check out of your Nile cruise. Start ever y the day with a tour of the East Bank – beginning with the virtually bewildering Karnak Temple Complex. Walk through the hypostyle hall, and gaze at the forest of large columns and discover the great kings that worked on it for centuries.

After that walk to the beautiful Luxor temple; a small but beautiful temple constructed by Amenhotep III and Ramses II. At the end of your tour you will then be transferred to the train station to take overnight sleeper train back to Cairo.

Day 7: Free Day in Cairo

On arrival in Cairo, you will be driven to your hotel where you will can take breakfast and then free day. However, before leaving for Cairo you can free up some time to go for a walk in the city center,  as well as local bazaars like Khan El Khalili ,Khan El Khalili is one of Cairo’s most famous and vibrant bazaars, known for its historical charm and lively atmosphere ,or just you can rest.  Additionally, you may wish to purchase other tours that will add greater values to your holiday trip.

Day 8: Departure from Cairo

Spend your last meal in Egyptian hospitality by taking your breakfast at the hotel before checking out. In the last day, your guide will help you with the transfer from Alexandria to Cairo International Airport in order to buy the departure flight. When it is time to bid Egypt farewell, you will be able to take home a great holiday experience of the holidays in the pharaoh’s land.
