Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Cairo

 

Day 2: Giza Pyramids, Saqqara, and Memphis

Discover the magical world of Aqua Tours starting with the Great Pyramids of Giza and the mighty Sphinx among the brightest world attractions. You will first be explained by our experienced guide fascinating material about their historical background and influence on pop culture. Next, going to Saqqara which is one of the largest cemeteries in Egypt and was used for burying tombs of ancient city of Memphis. Here the guest will visit the famous – Step Pyramid of Djoser. On the last day of your tour you will make a trip to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt before going back to your hotel.

Day 3: Alexandria Day Tour

Continue the following day with Aqua Tours; to Alexandria having a pickup from your hotel in cairo or giza. First visit Pompay’s Pillar. The story behind the name is that Mark may have been buried there- Mark was a Roman general that sought refuge in Egypt and was murdered after suffering a major defeat in Greece against Caesar. The red granite column was maybe constructed in honor of the Emperor Diocletain. Now it rises 25 meters high and is the highest ancient structure of Alexandria. Then you proceed to visit the Catacombs which is the largest Roman Cemetery consists of three levels chucked in rocks.Then we sit down for lunch at local restaurant in Alexandria, then continue our tour to visit the Qaitbay Citadel which was built as a fortress on the site of the old lighthouse after it was destroyed by the earth wake, Alexandria Citadel was built by Sultan Ashraf Qaitbay to fend off the the Ottoman Empire direct threats towards Alexandria city. Particularly Qaitbay citadel is a magnet attraction of Alexandria city because of its historic significance and strategic position in the early times to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. That is a replica of the lost original library of Alexandria established in the period of classical Greeks. Visiting this library has restored Alexandria to the former position as learning and exchange hub and granted the city a significant landmark structure at last you will be taken back to your Cairo hotel.

Day 4: Fly to Aswan – Nile Cruise & visit Temple of Philae

Start your Nile cruise with Aqua Tours after being picked up from your hotel in Cairo and flying to Aswan. On arrival, you will be met by our guide and driven in a private air-conditioned vehicle to join your Nile Cruise ship lunch will be served upon embarkation. You will be fascinated by the High Dam of modern construction and then travel on to the well-located Temple of Philae situated on the island of Isis. You will also visit the Granite Quarries ‘and the Unfinished Obelisk which will enable you get a glimpse of how the ancients carved their stones. Following a day of discovering see the group get back on the Nile Cruise and have dinner before overnight in Aswan.

Day 5: Abu Simbel & Kom Ombo Temple

Begin the day with a sightseeing vibe; and head to the steep rock cut temples of Abu Simbel. Here, you’ll visit the unique Kom Ombo Temple, a dual sanctuary dedicated to two gods: Nonetheless, Sobek – the crocodile, and Horus – the falcon were fairly typical of any Egyptian deities. See the pillars of the temple; and as you move around the temple ensure you visit a museum within the temple where you will find natural preserved mummies of crocodiles. At night go take a rest you will be cruising in the Nile with your cruise and even sleep on the waters.

Day 6: Edfu Temple & Luxor

The next day after your Nile cruise you are invited to have a breakfast on the boat, after that visit one of the most outstanding places in Egypt – the Temple of Horus in Edfu. It is gentle to say that Hatshpsut temple is one of the most preserved and restored old temple in the whole Egypt therefore having a great chance to see the ancient history of the place and the structure. After your visit, you will proceed with sailing to Luxor where you will visit the magnificent Luxor Temple. Start your day with an exhilarating sunrise hot air balloon ride over the Valley of the Kings, offering breathtaking views of the ancient landscape as the sun rises over the horizon. Afterward, you’ll tour some of the famous tombs in the valley, including those of renowned pharaohs. Next, visit the magnificent Temple of Hatshepsut, a stunning mortuary temple dedicated to the only female pharaoh of Egypt. Then, see the iconic Colossi of Memnon, two enormous statues standing guard over the ancient site.

Conclude your Luxor tour with a visit to the expansive Karnak Temple complex, one of the largest religious sites in the world, where you can marvel at its intricate carvings and impressive architecture. After this enriching experience, you will be transferred to the airport to fly back to Cairo.
