Experience the Nile at its most peaceful. Our 3-night Aqua Tours journey takes you from the beauty of Aswan to the majesty of Luxor on a traditional Dahabiya. We’ve designed this trip for the traveler who wants more than just a tour—someone who wants to truly feel the history of the riverside temples and the serenity of the water. Slow down, breathe, and discover Egypt’s essence
Your adventure begins in Aswan, where your first destination in the morning is the Temple of Philae, situated on an island in the Nile, dedicated to Isis. You would have time to explore it and gain an understanding of its historical importance before being taken aboard your Dahabiya in the early afternoon. Lunch would have already been served on board as it sailed north toward Kom Ombo. Throughout the afternoon, there would have been time for relaxation along with lunch on board. After lunch, your first destination would have been the temple of Kom Ombo, which has two temples in honor of Sobek and Haroeris, each temple unique in Egypt. You would have returned to your Dahabiya in the night for dinner as it anchored in the vicinity of Al Bashir Island.
After breakfast, the Dahabiya sails to the serene, rarely visited site of Gebel Silsela. You will go ashore to explore the ancient sandstone quarries and the rock-cut temple of Horemheb carved directly into the cliffs. The serenity of Silsela makes it one of the most captivating stops along the Nile. Following your visit, the boat continues to Edfu, where lunch will be served on board. In the afternoon, you will explore the impressive Temple of Edfu, one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt, dedicated to the falcon-god Horus. The night will be spent anchored near a quiet island in the Nile.
Enjoy another beautiful morning sailing north as your Dahabiya glides gracefully toward Luxor. Upon arrival, your guide will take you to discover Luxor’s greatest monuments, starting with Karnak Temple, then continuing to the Valley of the Kings to explore the royal tombs, and finally the stunning Temple of Queen Hatshepsut carved dramatically into the cliffs. After an inspiring day full of history and stories, return to your boat for dinner and your final overnight in Luxor.
After breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye to the Dahabiya and continue your journey.
Aqua Tours wishes you safe travels and hopes to welcome you again on another unforgettable Egyptian experience
